On Thursday, the French luxury goods group announced the inauguration of its <strong>new Italian headquarters in Milan<\/strong>. The six-storey, <strong>9,500-square-metre<\/strong> complex is located on <strong>via Senato<\/strong>, one of the city&#8217;s main shopping streets, close to the fashion district.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The building takes the place of the former <strong>Palazzo Pertusati Gropallo<\/strong>, designed by 18th-century architect <strong>Simone Cantoni<\/strong> and considered a model of neoclassical style.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-104712\" src=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/1-Comunicato-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Until now, the company&#8217;s Italian headquarters have been located <strong>since 2019 in via Mecenate<\/strong>, within a nine-storey, 11,000 square metre technology complex on the outskirts of Milan. Kering had announced plans to move offices in <strong>2022<\/strong> and stressed the <strong>importance of moving to the center of Italy&#8217;s economic (and fashion) capital<\/strong>. The Group currently has finance, communications, internal audit, human resources, institutional relations, technology and legal departments at its Italian headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The operation required an investment of <strong>250 million euros.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;We are delighted to be moving our Italian headquarters to this magnificent location in the heart of Milan&#8217;s business and luxury district, and thus confirming Kering&#8217;s status as a pillar of Italian luxury and a major player in the country&#8217;s economy&#8221;<\/em>, said <strong>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Palus<\/strong>, Kering&#8217;s Chief Operating Officer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>More than 300 workstations<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The interior layout has been completely redefined. Five floors are devoted to workspaces and a cafeteria, while the sixth and top floor features a conference room with panoramic views.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>More than 300 workstations<\/strong>, as well as acoustic phone booths, meeting rooms and collaborative spaces are spread across the floors. Iconic pieces of Italian design have been added to the furnishings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-104716\" src=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/7-Comunicato-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Common areas include a dedicated canteen, a bar and a huge terrace of over <strong>1,500 square metres<\/strong> overlooking the Duomo and the rooftops of Milan&#8217;s business district. The new working environment is due to receive <strong>LEED Platinum and WELL Gold <a href=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/kering-wants-to-reduce-its-greenhouse-gas-emissions-by-40\/\">environmental certification<\/a> in the near future.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Future headquarters in Padua<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the<a href=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/kering-eyewear-acquires-french-supplier-unt\/\"><strong> Kering Eyewear<\/strong><\/a> optical division also began <strong>work on its future headquarters in Padua, which will be operational in 2025<\/strong>. The headquarters will eventually employ <strong>650 people<\/strong> when fully operational. The complex is built on land adjacent to the group&#8217;s current offices and has a total surface area of<strong> 10,000 square meters.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Kering Group, owner of brands such as <strong>Gucci, Yves Saint Lauren, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/luxus-plus.com\/en\/kering-starts-the-year-worse-than-its-competitors\/\">closed the first quarter of the current year with slight sales growth of <strong>2%<\/strong><\/a>.
