Volkswagen, the German manufacturer, presented its brand new 100% electric sedan at the Shanghai Auto Show, which took place from April 18 to 27. Other brands such as BMW or Nissan unveiled their new vehicles. And we can say that this year, the trend is green!<\/h4>\n

The Shanghai Auto Show<\/strong> is the largest car show in the world. Every brand on the planet comes to unveil their innovations and latest creations, starting with Volkswagen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“We are boosting our electric campaign<\/em>,” said Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schafer, while demonstrating an electric minibus.<\/p>\n

Teased and awaited for several months, the new Volkswagen electric luxury sedan was finally presented to the public and professionals. With a battery range of 700 km<\/strong> and a new 286 hp engine<\/strong>, the successor to the Passat is called the ID 7<\/strong>. It is one of 28 models presented at the show<\/strong> by the brand, half of which run on green energy.<\/p>\n

They need to be more inventive and innovative in a highly competitive environment, where Chinese brands play an important role. Some of them are forming partnerships<\/strong> to share development costs.<\/p>\n

China “is playing a leading role in the industry’s electric and digital transformation<\/em>,” Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley said in a video message.<\/p>\n

In a few numbers, electric vehicles account for more than a quarter of the nearly 24 million SUVs, sedans and vans, sold last year in China, while sales of traditional gasoline-powered vehicles have slowed.<\/p>\n

In addition to Volkswagen, other European automakers showed off their new electric car lines. BMW<\/strong> displayed an all-electric line, which includes two new models: the I7 M70<\/em> and the XM Label Red<\/em>.<\/p>\n
