For its sixth annual edition, a record number of 1,700 applicants from over 100 different countries were considered, before 8 young designers were finally shortlisted to compete in the final of the LVMH Prize. After the 20 semi-finalists were announced on February 25, the selected designers presented their collections to 63 international industry professionals on March 1 and 2 at the LVMH group’s headquarters in Paris. “The diversity and richness of the collections presented for the sixth edition of the LVMH Prize this year is testament to these talented designers, making the decision of our 63 experts incredibly difficult,” said Delphine Arnault. 8 young designers have been selected for the grand finale of the competition taking place in mid-June at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, with one young designer following in the footsteps of Doublet, the winning label in 2018.
