This Thursday, we are paying particular attention to the Bank of England (BoE). It will reveal the results of its monetary policy meeting at midday, as well as its new growth and inflation forecasts.

“We have seen two members of the Bank of England break ranks in recent weeks to question the merits of current policy, expressing the possibility that the asset purchase programme may need to be scaled back,” said Michael Hewson, analyst at the Bank of England. said Michael Hewson, analyst at CMC Markets UK.

In addition, the UK government has announced its decision to remove the quarantine on Covid-19 vaccinated travellers arriving in the UK from mainland France from Sunday.

Brazil’s central bank on Wednesday raised its key interest rate by one point, the largest increase since 2003, to 5.25%, in an attempt to contain inflationary spikes.

New indicators are also expected on Thursday, such as industrial production in France and weekly jobless claims in the US.
