The famous house of Jaeger-Lecoultre presents two new models for the Polaris collection

Jaeger-Lecoultre has just introduced two new alarm watch models for its Polaris sports collection: the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Memovox and Polaris Mariner Date models.
Two years ago, the Swiss watchmaker decided to relaunch the Polaris collection, inspired by the famous 1968 alarm model.
The first model, the Polaris Mariner Memovox, joins the emblematic Memovox watches, which means “the voice of memory“. Although the Memovow model is not the first mechanical alarm watch per se, it is the first to be equipped with an automatic caliber: Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 815.
The 42 mm case is water-resistant to 300 meters and features the emblematic codes of Polaris watches, with its pure lines and curved glass.

The crown benefits from the addition of an orange safety strip to warn divers when it is not fully screwed in. The dial stands out with its blue gradation, and the hands, indexes and numerals are coated with Superluminova to ensure perfect readability in all circumstances.
Over the years, the Memovox watch has been adapted in several versions to the aesthetics of its time. Today, the line is inspired by these historic watches to present a model that complies with the ISO 6425 specifications for diver’s watches, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Memovox.
The Mariner Polaris Date is very close to the physique of the Polaris Mariner Memovox. The distinguishing factor between the two is rather visible by the movement they both carry: while both are self-winding, the Memovox is equipped with the in-house caliber 956AA, which offers the additional function of a “school bell” alarm, while the Date model is simply equipped with the 899AB caliber.
The Polaris Mariner Memovox and the Polaris Mariner Date are now available at a price of €17,400 for the Memovox and €11,000 for the Date. For more information, please visit the Jaeger-LeCoultre website.
