This September 7, the latest Cheval Blanc Hotel is unveiled in the heart of Paris, in the mythical Samaritaine.

The Cheval Blanc Samaritaine Hotel opens its doors today, September 7, 2021 after years of waiting. LVMH Hotel Management, owned by the LVMH Group, is the hotel operator for the Maisons Cheval Blanc.

The Maisons Cheval Blanc collection opens its first hotel in Paris. The emblematic Art Deco building along the Seine is the Group’s 5th hotel after the Alps, Saint-Tropez and Saint-Barthélemy.

An intimate hotel

The hotel is intimate: 72 rooms and suites with the privilege of a large terrace with the whole of Paris on the horizon. It was designed by interior architect Peter Marino as a Parisian residence, an exceptional place to live.

Each piece of furniture was custom designed, each object was specifically chosen and the emphasis was placed on light, present everywhere thanks to large bay windows, and the landscaped terrace of 650m2 allowing the view of Paris and the Seine to be appreciated. The architect did not want to alter the Art Deco masterpiece designed in 1928 by Henri Sauvage.

The 15-year renovation project of the Samaritaine and the Hotel cost 750 million euros, and another 230 million euros to acquire from the former owners.

The starting price is 1,150 euros per night for a room of at least 45 square meters, and rises for the large suite of 1,000 square meters, with seven rooms, swimming pool and private elevator. They all overlook the Seine and the main monuments of Paris, from the Eiffel Tower to the French Academy.

Luxury services

Without being a hotel guest, visitors will have access to the four restaurants (270 covers in total) and three bars. Plénitude, run by three-star chef Arnaud Donckele on the first floor, Au tout-Paris, the contemporary brasserie on the seventh floor, not far from the Italian restaurant Langosteria, and the last, on the first floor, Limbar, will offer breakfasts and cocktails.

The Spa Dior at Cheval Blanc Paris takes us into the world of the House of Dior. To get there, one must take the spiral staircase where the walls are covered with a metallic weave created by textile designer Sophie Mallebranche.

It has a 30-meter pool at the same level as the Seine. An architectural feat that took two years to complete. The curved pool with blue mosaics by Michael Mayer offers an ode to calm in the hustle and bustle of the city. 43 treatments are offered to clients in six different treatment rooms.
