Maserati unveils its first electric SUV

Italian automaker Maserati announced the launch of its first electric SUV on Monday, April 19, the Maserati Levante Hybrid.

Maserati revealed its new Maserati Levante Hybrid, the Italian luxury firm’s first electric SUV, at the Shanghai Motor Show, where the launch was being broadcast virtually. This is the second electrified model of the brand, after the Ghibli, which made its first kilometers in early 2021.

Thus, Maserati is accelerating its development in the electric and hybrid fields. The Maserati Levante Hybrid has 4 in-line cylinders with a 2-liter displacement as well as a 48-volt hybrid system. Great care has been taken with the weight distribution in the vehicle.

The latest SUV of the brand shows satisfactory performance, with 330 hp for 450 Nm from an all-wheel-drive thanks to which the vehicle reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 6 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h.

In addition to its satisfactory performance and ecoresponsibility, the Maserati Levante Hybrid also has aesthetic assets. Covered in a metallic tri-coat, Azzurro Astro, its blue color recalls its electric character right down to the stitching on the seats.

Finally, this new model is equipped with Maserati Connect technology, which allows the driver to know in real-time the state of his SUV, but also that of his home thanks to a virtual assistant that, like Alexa or Google Assist, allows to interact with his home, opening, for example, the garage door on command. The Levante Hybrid will go on sale in 2021.
