According to the press release of the French luxury group LVMH published today, Berta de Pablos-Barbier will succeed Stéphane Baschiera as Chairman and CEO of Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Mercier as of 1 January 2021.

The announcement was made this Thursday, November 5. Following 24 years spent in the LVMH Wines & Spirits division within the French luxury group, Stéphane Baschiera has announced his departure and is handing over to Berta de Pablos-Barbier in order to “devote himself fully to his personal projects”, according to the group’s press release.

After having acquired numerous degrees, notably in agricultural engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, then in food sciences and the IFM’s Executive MBA Global Fashion Management, Berta de Pablos-Barbier has the qualities required, according to Philippe Schaus, Moët Hennessy’s Chairman and CEO, to start this coming January with each team, which has also planned to welcome her as a member of Moët Hennessy’s Executive Committee.

I am convinced that, with the support of her teams, she will play a decisive role in the development of Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Mercier” , he stressed.

Initially International Vice-President Marketing and Communication at Boucheron until 2011, then Executive Vice-President Marketing at Lacoste until 2012, and finally President of Mars Wrigley Confectionery US, Berta de Pablos-Barbier will soon be joining the teams at Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Mercier, who are ready to present her next guidelines and the various projects underway.
