Prime Experiences, a US luxury yacht charter company, has just become the first company in the industry to accept cryptocurrency payments. The company is a pioneer in this type of transaction and expects to experience 40% growth, reaching over 1400 customers this year.
IMARC Group, a leading market research company, has made several projections between 2021 and 2026 for the yachting sector, but also for Prime Experiences. These indicate a growth of 19% in the yachting sector between 2021 and 2026. For its part, Prime Experiences expects to make a profit of $6.5 million in 2021, the double of the turnover it achieved the previous year. The company seeking to attract users from the crypto-currency market, generate new alliances and business strategies, would be the potential causes of this expected profit increase in 2021.
“With this type of currency, many doors have been opened, we are currently in talks with the mayor of Miami, who is interested in expanding bitcoin and other crypto-currencies in the city,” says José David Tobón, president of the company.
The company identifies itself more as a company that designs experiences around events such as birthdays, corporate events and special occasions. It remains very confident about this decision to accept payment in cryptocurrency, expecting an effective growth of 40%.
