Closing of cafés, restaurants : Restaurant owners’ proposals about to be submitted to the High Council of Public Health

The representatives of the hotel and catering profession were received, at their request, at the Ministry of Solidarity and Health, on Friday, October 2. They made a point of expressing their disappointment at not having been received by the Minister himself, even though the Prime Minister had gathered around him 4 members of the government on Tuesday, September 29th to discuss the issues of the closure of his establishments.

 

Following the Minister’s announcements the day before, announcing the closure of bars and the possibility of closing restaurants in areas that would go on high alert, hotel and restaurant professionals presented the health authorities with a draft reinforced health protocol aimed at keeping establishments open.

Among the proposals made to the authorities, several were favorably received, including the introduction of a reminder booklet, with an incentive to download the StopCovid application, and the obligation to pay at the table.
