Gecina has just announced the signature of a memorandum of understanding with the prestigious Maison Louis Vuitton, for a new 18-year lease.

The emblematic brand Louis Vuitton will remain on the famous “avenue des Champs-Élysées” for 18 more years, more precisely at 101 avenue des Champs-Élysées. For the record, Louis Vuitton has occupied the premises on this legendary avenue since 1998.

“A mix of energy and fashion, the Champs-Élysées is one of the most famous and popular promenades. In 1998, Louis Vuitton reopened a luxurious space there, the largest Louis Vuitton shop in the world,” said Louis Vuitton.

The façade of this Louis Vuitton flagship is inspired by the “art deco” years. Classified as a historical monument, this building erected in the 1930s has stood the test of time.

In a press release, the group announced that this agreement mentions the carrying out of “major works”, aiming to “redeploy its retail space by rethinking the volumes and circulation within the building and by integrating new services”.

Valérie Britay, Deputy Managing Director of Gecina’s office division, said: “We are very pleased to support Louis Vuitton in this important project, which will further enhance the iconic character of 101 Champs Elysées and continue to create value for this asset. The renewed commitment of a major client underlines the long-term international appeal and prestige of the Champs Elysées and the quality of Gecina’s unique portfolio in Paris”.

It is also mentioned that the building may be undergoing work to improve its energy performance, as part of Gecina’s CANOP-2030 plan.

With CAN0P-2030 (Carbon Net Zero Plan), Gecina is accelerating its low-carbon trajectory and is aiming for zero greenhouse gas emissions from operations by 2030, building on its success in reducing its carbon emissions by 26% over the past four years,” says Gecina.
