The jewelry house Jana Rose Paris offers environmentally friendly luxury jewelry, with diamonds designed directly in the laboratory.

Jana Rose Paris was born from the desire to found ethical and eco-responsible luxury jewelry. Its co-founder, Cécile da Rocha, 41 years old, was able to combine the love of luxury with the love of the environment, by sourcing from laboratories specialized in the manufacture of synthetic diamonds and using Fairmined or recycled gold.

Behind the name, Jana Rose is the idea of the world we want to leave to our children. To extract one carat of diamond, you have to move 250 tons of ore! Gold mining pollutes the soil, contributes to deforestation, and contaminates local populations. We want to create jewelry differently with virtuous values and design“.

The start-up Jana Rose Paris is incubated at the SQY Cub in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines: “They accompanied me for two years with a quality follow-up. Thanks to specialists, my project became concrete“, explains the co-founder.

She describes the diamond manufacturing process as follows: “We start with a microscopic diamond grain, inject carbon and the diamonds grow like in a microwave oven. It is the same quality as high jewelry. These are the same properties as a physical diamond, there is no difference“.

Co-founder Cécile da Rocha, a business school graduate, worked for 15 years at Nissan Europe in SQY, before meeting Dimitri Juvet, a jeweler from father to son for 4 generations and manager of three boutiques in Thonon-les-Bains in Haute-Savoie. United by their common passion for jewelry and their commitment to respect the environment, they decided to found Jana Rose Paris.

“I love beautiful things, whether it is jewelry or nature. We are in a generation that consumes with the awareness of the climate emergency. I teamed up with a jeweler, Dimitri Juvet, to create something that goes in this direction,” says Cécile Da Rocha. Jewelry is contributing to deforestation or child labor in the mines. We had to find a more positive alternative“.

The two founders thus joined forces in the design of their first collection, which they unveiled in part on the Ulule participatory financing platform. They wanted to gauge the receptiveness of their potential new clients to their project and in only 48 hours, they reached 100% participatory financing: Jana Rose Paris was launched.

The first Jana Rose Paris collection, entitled JOY, is in collaboration with Claire-Chine Hardion, independent jewelry, and Haute joaillerie designer since 2015 and graduate of the Métiers d’arts in the art of jewelry and jewelry at the Haute Ecole de Joaillerie de Paris.

We propose a timeless and ethical jewelry offer. It is a minimalist collection. We also offer a co-creation service to respond exactly to customer requests. They can choose the design of the product and the diamond“, explains entrepreneur Cécile Da Rocha.
