After a year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, when financial results were still rather uncertain, we are now witnessing a high-speed recovery. This is the case for the Daimler and Interparfums groups.

Acceleration of sales for Interparfums

After announcing a few weeks ago the licensing agreement between the House of Ferragamo and Interparfums, the perfume specialist has just revealed its financial results for the second quarter of 2021. Sales increased by more than 260% to over 130 million euros. Sales increased by 19.5% compared to the second quarter of 2019. These results show in a way the development and dynamism of this sector, despite the health crisis.

These results can be explained in particular by the success of brands such as Jimmy Choo, Coach and Rochas present within the Interparfums group. These brands have achieved growth rates of between 21% and over 30%. In addition, as of 2022, the group will include Moncler, which could represent a potential of approximately 150 million euros.

Geographically, results were driven by Asia Pacific, particularly South Korea, Singapore and China.

Sales increase for Daimler

The Daimler Group, owner of Mercedes, has announced a turnover of 43.5 billion euros for the second quarter of 2021. This represents an increase of 44% compared to the same period last year.

The business is supported by the dynamism of the Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans division, whose turnover of 28.1 billion euros rose by 49%. Daimler Trucks & Buses also saw its business grow by 61%. Finally, Daimler Mobility’s turnover rose by 7% to 6.8 billion euros.

These financial results give hope for future results.
