Previously made up of 59 experts, including Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt, models Karlie Kloss and Natalia Vodianova, and makeup artist Pat McGrath, the LVMH Prize committee will be made up of nine new fashion and luxury professionals this year.

For the first time, it will welcome Gigi Hadid, activist Sinéad Burke, artistic director Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, entrepreneur and influencer Caroline Daur, artistic consultant Leaf Greener, stylist and journalist Ibrahim Kamara, and Jo Ellison, editor-in-chief of the British magazine How to Spend It.

“I am delighted to welcome, during the semi-final of the LVMH Prize, the international committee of 59 experts who, this year, welcome 9 new fashion and luxury professionals. They are the witnesses and key players in the fashion world. Their visions contribute to the emergence of the most promising talents. I would therefore like to thank them warmly for their loyalty and commitment to our side,” emphasizes Delphine Arnault, who initiated the Prize.

On February 27 and 28, 2020, the committee of international experts will unveil the names of the designers who will take part in the finals of the LVMH Prize to be held on June 5 at the Louis Vuitton Foundation. The overall winner will benefit from a year of mentoring by a dedicated team from the LVMH Group and the sum of 300,000 euros, while the winner of the Karl Lagerfeld Prize will benefit from a year of mentoring and 150,000 euros.

The members of the jury that will select the winners from the eight finalists this year will include prestigious names such as Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie and Sidney Toledano.

Previous winners include Thebe Magugu, Doublet, Marine Serre, Grace Wales Bonner, Marques’Almeida, and the French Jacquemus.
