Fashion Month Spring/Summer 2019: An exceptional calendar in New York, London, Milan and Paris

The Fashion Weeks of New-York, London, Milan and Paris takes place until October 3, 2018. Prestigious luxury brands such as Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermès or Dior will presents their Spring/Summer 2019 collection.

Until October 3, will take place New York, London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks, must-attend events for all fashion enthusiasts. Like every season, established creators and luxury houses will present their new collection. It will also be an opportunity for emerging talents to make themselves known.

Let’s recall that the fashion sector has undergone through many changes with the arrivals and departures of creative directors. The collections of these new designers will be eagerly awaited. Thereby, Lanvin, Nina Ricci and Lacoste, currently without designers, will abstain from participating this season.

New-York : September 6 – Septembre 14

Maisons Rodarte and Proenza Schouler were present at New York Fashion Week. After two seasons spent on the Parisian podium, the two American claws have made their return to the United States.

On Sunday, September 9th, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the founding sisters of the Californian brand Rodarte, presented their Spring / Summer 2019 collection at the New York City Marble Cemetery, a historical cemetery in New York City founded in 1831.

For their part, Proenza Schouler’s Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough made a triumphal return to Manhattan with a groundbreaking collection presented in a bank-owned, abandoned building where guests had to climb to a raw space. on the second floor via a lift off. The duo took the opportunity to launch its long-awaited makeup collection, in collaboration with Lancôme.

Londres : September 14 – Septembre 18

The London show will host the first collection of Riccardo Tisci, Burberry‘s new creative director. Christopher Kane, will also present his first fashion show since the end of his partnership with Kering group.

Milan : September 19 – September 25

The biggest surprise this season will be the absence of Gucci and Bottega Veneta from the Milan Fashion Week. For the first time, Gucci will not attend Milan fashion week to focus on its show at the Palace in Paris. And, Bottega Veneta, which recently named Daniel Lee as its new creative director will present its Spring/Summer 2019 collection in a private showroom. Daniel Lee will unveil his Fall/Winter 2019-20 collection during a fashion show next february in Milan.

Paris : September 25 – October 3

The beginnings of Hedi Slimane, Céline‘s new artistic director are expected. On the other side, Mugler and Courrèges will also organize the first fashion shows of their new designers, respectively Casey Cadwallader and Yolanda Zobel.

Paris Fashion Week, which supports new talent, will welcome four new hopes: the label Afterhomework, launched by the French teenagers Pierre Kaczmarek and Elena Mottola, who was strongly supported by the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion, the Ukrainian Anton Belinskiy, the Russian Natalia Alaverdian and finally the Swiss brand Ottolinger, owned by Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient, semi-finalist of the LVMH 2018 Award.
