This retrospective that will be held until november 20, will present 26 photographs that traces key moments in the two iconic creators’ carreer, corresponding to the period when John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood were immortalized by the famous photographer John Stoddart.

The Stoddart collection, including fashion photographs and portraits, was made in London between 1987 and 1991. These shots evoke a turning point in the respective careers of the two stylists. Indeed, it was in 1987 that Galliano’s creations were taken into consideration when he received the title of British designer of the year. His title then allowed him to launch his international career by moving to Paris. As for Vivienne Westwood, the 80s pushed her to reinvent her style and surpass herself, after having been immersed in punk fashion for several years. She will then move towards a more glamorous and rock-n-roll fashion.

Through his photography collection, John Stoddart highlights the creations of John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood that combine haute couture and British culture. In particular, he uses a certain know-how to take his shots using a silver camera.

A renowned photographer, Stoddart is known in particular for having photographed a large number of personalities.
