The fruit of this collaboration will be presented on February 20th during the Milan Fashion Week. The collection will be available in September 2020 in Emilio Pucci’s 24 boutiques worldwide, on its e-commerce website, from a selection of retailers and on Koché’s e-commerce website.

“It is a privilege for the brand to open its archives and inspire a great talent like Christelle Kocher of the Koché label, whose couture know-how, streetwear attitude and the energy of a young and dynamic culture will offer a unique and joyful interpretation to the autumn-winter 2020 collection,” the house states in a release.

Bought by LVMH in 2000, Emilio Puccci has seen five artistic directors succeed one another at her bedside and has changed management direction several times. Peter Dundas had taken the helm between 2008 and 2015, finding a glamorous and sexy positioning that was highly appreciated by buyers. He was succeeded in 2015 by Massimo Giorgetti, the creator of MSGM, who left after four seasons.

This partnership with Christelle Kocher therefore marks the first step towards a new strategy aimed at relaunching and refreshing the Florentine company through collaborations, while creating as many opportunities to communicate around its universe. Christelle Kocher said, “Pucci’s creative strategy is evolving: the house has decided to open up its fabulous archives to creative voices, commissioning them to deliver innovative interpretations of Pucci’s heritage, prints, lifestyle and collections”.

She’s gained a lot of experience in her career. A native of Strasbourg and a graduate of London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins fashion school, she began her career at Emporio Armani and then went on to work for a variety of fashion houses, from Martine Sitbon to Chloé and Sonia Rykiel.

In 2009, she became Dries Van Noten’s first assistant. Then, she worked on the women’s collection of Bottega Veneta alongside the German Tomas Maier. In 2014, Christelle Kocher launches her own label Koché, with which she wins the Andam 2019 big prize and whose production and distribution has recently been licensed to the OTB Group.
