For its new perfume collection Colognes Imaginaires, the Courrèges perfumery trusted the Nice company Coverpla to provide it with lighter packaging.

The perfumery is adopting a marketing approach that aims to be environmentally responsible. This repositioning corresponds to new consumer expectations.

The house had already made its mark by launching an eco-responsible vinyl collection made from seaweeds for summer 2020 collection by its fashion branch.

As part of this new generation of fragrances, Courrèges claims an ecological approach to the design of the fragrance, packaging and also the cases of its new collection.

It is in this sense that the perfumery and cosmetics packaging specialist Coverpla supplied the Courrèges house with the Verdi bottle, a glass packaging solution. The Verdi bottle was designed by Coverpla from the 100% recyclable Ecoline range by Italian glassmaker Bormioli Luigi. It has a glass weight reduced by 40% with 100 g of material per 100 ml of fragrance.

This represents a 60% saving in CO2 emissions at all stages of production and supply compared to a plastic or glass bottle, whether blown or pressed. An innovative packaging available in four 100 ml versions.

In addition to the bottle’s eco-design process, a pump fitted on a screw-on neck (CV15) allows the bottle to be refilled and facilitates its recycling.
