Cosmetics: Givenchy Parfums invites itself into the cult game of Animal Crossing containment

The Givenchy brand chooses the famous video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons to customize the beauty look of their characters. The opportunity for the luxury brand to reach a community of 13 million gamers worldwide.

 

Released on March 20, the simulation video game Animal Crossing: New Horizons was a resounding success during the confinement period.

 

Its objective is relatively simple: to make your character evolve on a paradise island thanks to various activities.

 

This game seduced the public with its interactive character and unlimited customization possibilities. Like for example imagining the clothes of his little avatar.

 

Where other video games only offer to customize an outfit, the cult game of confinement goes even further by giving the possibility to design a thoughtful look from head to toe.

 

The game has sold 12 million copies in just 11 days after its release and unveiled its first runway show on May 26 exclusively on Instagram.

 

The fashion show brought together thirty or so little characters who trod the virtual catwalk in the most beautiful looks for autumn-winter 2020-2021 signed by Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Loewe and GmbH.

 

An opportunity for the brands to bounce back at a time when many of them have been impacted by the crisis.

 

The Givenchy brand in turn invites itself into Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons by offering tattoos inspired by the emblematic lines of the make-up brand.

 

A great first for a make-up brand.

 

13 million players around the world will now be able to customise the beauty look of their characters.

 

Givenchy Parfums has partnered with the Nook Street Market platform to offer this innovation.

 

Signature looks and winks to the brand’s flagship products, such as the ​Prisme Libre​ and ​Le Rouge​, in the form of 4G tattoos that are printed on the cheeks.

 

The faithful followers of the French house will not be out of place. They will find themselves in the proposed looks, the emblematic lines of the house.

 

Note that the characters in the game will be dressed from head to toe in Givenchy, since the brand also offers clothing from the ready-to-wear collections.

 

Those who wish to offer make-up to their avatar in this little virtual world will simply have to go to the Instagram accounts ​@givenchybeauty​ and ​@nookstreetmarket​ and download the available ID codes.
