Since 1995, the international event has brought together decoration and design professionals twice a year, in January and September.
As every year, Maison & Objet is an opportunity to discover new trends and the latest innovations in the sector. For this summer edition 2019, 3111 exhibitors will be gathered, including 852 newcomers.
As in the previous two editions, the next exhibition will be structured around two universes. On the one hand, the “House” with four spaces dedicated to decoration, objects of the world and a selection of luxury furniture. On the other hand, the “Objet” divided into seven spaces including a zone containing fashion accessories, which should accommodate 231 exhibitors in Hall 2, including several brands of jewellery (Atelier Akka, Nataraj Collection, Lady Amherst), leather goods (S. Danjou) and shoes (Rosa Mosa).
There will also be a selection of the Rising Talent Awards, which will reward talented young designers, and which will be focused on the United States for this edition: Six design studios from Brooklyn, including the Green River Project (Ben Bloomstein, Aaron Aujla), will be honoured after being chosen by a jury composed of designers such as Jarry Helling, Rafael de Cardenas and Rosanne Somerson.
The theme of this September edition, entitled “Work!”, invites us to rethink the workspace. The exhibitors will then propose their ideas in terms of furniture and furnishings to renew the offices with the aim of making them more serene places to live.
The Maison et Objet exhibition will take place in the North-East of Paris, at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte, at the ZAC address Paris Nord 2 in 93 in Villepinte. Admission to the exhibition requires a badge costing 50 euros, and is not authorized for the general public, only for professionals.
